WEXFO’s annual conference is a global arena for freedom of expression.

Each year in Lillehammer, we bring together leading voices from around the world – journalists, artists, authors, activists, academics, tech experts and politicians – to explore how we protect and promote free expression in a changing world.

Past speakers include Nobel Peace Prize laureates Maria Ressa, Dmitry Muratov, Shirin Ebadi and Oleksandra Matviichuk, alongside Christo Grozev (Bellingcat), Gérard Biard (Chalie Hebdo), Seyran Ates, Taghi Rahmani (husband of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi) Jamala (artist and activist), and Irene Khan (UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of expression).
