Who?
The target audience for the workshop includes Copernicus and DestinE users, Earth observation and digital service providers, policy makers, industry, academia, IT experts, etc.
How?
The event is hosted by the European Commission Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) with support from the Space Research Unit of the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).
It is planned as a hybrid meeting. Registration is mandatory for on-site participants. Streaming will be available for online participants. Q&A will be possible via Slido-type tool.
What?
The workshop will review challenges and opportunities around the new and fast evolving AI/ML landscape and what this means for the future of Copernicus as we prepare for the next MFF 2028-2034.
The event will take stock of the current AI/ML, big data and HPC revolution as well as evolving user needs and expectations around trustworthy AI products. It will also explore how to capitalize on recent innovation breakthrough such as digital twins. In that context, this forum will be an opportunity to further shape the Copernicus – DestinE synergies.
