Municipalities

Asker participates in international networks and projects to share experiences and gain new insights to further develop the municipality's services. International cooperation is particularly present through the municipality's work on implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They also work with digitalisation, innovation, citizen participation, transport and climate.

Drammen Municipality has been a member of ORE since 2005, with the goal of strengthen international ties, expanding its networks and improve access to EU funding. The membership provides early information about EU funding, support in application processes and access to relevant and strategic partnerships. In recent years, Drammen has secured significant EU funding through ORE, reinforcing its position in international networks. The collaboration has also contributed to enhanced expertise and closer cooperation between Drammen Municipality, the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) and the Drammen Chamber of Commerce.
There is considerable potential to secure more grants for the benefit of Drammen's residents and businesses.

Elverum is located in Innlandet County and has a strategic plan for international work including five focus areas:
1. Internationalisation and change in Elverum.
2. Elverum and international solidarity work and aid.
3. Elverum municipality and Nordic cooperation.
4. Elverum - EEA agreement, EU and Europe.
5. Recruitment, education and integration.

Hamar is involved in several European projects. The municipality has a strong business cluster within VR/AR technology and gaming, and every year Nordic VR Forum takes place here. Agriculture and lumber are also important industries. Further, Hamar is concerned with international work covering areas such as public service design, citizen dialogue, welfare technology and digital learning.

Nordre Follo is home to 65,000 residents and is committed to driving innovation through technology, collaboration, and environmentally sustainable growth. Their international engagement aims to shape a municipality that can continue to provide excellent services to its residents well into the future.

Lillehammer, in Innlandet county, is mainly concerned with climate change and implementing the SDGs. In addition, the municipality works a lot with digitalisation and how to become a so-called smart city. 

Lillestrøm actively participates in Erasmus+-projects, and is interested in other European projects related to digitalisation and welfare technology. 

Løten, in Innlandet county, is Edvard Munch's birthplace and has several tourism initiatives associated with the world famous artist. The municipality has its own strategic plan for climate and energy, with an annual climate budget.

Ringsaker is the largest municipality in Innlandet County, and is concerned with international collaboration in areas such as urban development, public health and food production. 

The Kongsvinger region IPR (KIPR) consists of Eidskog, Grue, Kongsvinger, Nord-Odal, Sør-Odal and Åsnes municipality. KIPR shall contribute to the positive development of the region and look after the citizens' interests across municipal boundaries and levels of administration. KIPR shall promote the region's interests in a county and national context.
